...If I just tell someone what to do without helping that person think through the problem, I am not helping that person develop skills. I approach tutoring as more of a coaching opportunity to me. I believe most student have the abilities; it is just a matter of finding out how to bring those abilities out in that student.

I also supported a group of international students by providing cultural, social, and recreational activities when they were not in class in order to help orient them to American university life.
