...I was the co-creator of a pre-reading program for 4-6 year olds at Kumon North America, the goal of which was to teach young children the pre-literacy skills needed before they can learn to read. In addition, I have had Orton-Gillingham training, which is a multisensory, alphabetic-phonetic approach to teaching reading, writing, and spelling. Words are made up of sounds. (read more)
