...Then I attempt to explain the problem graphically, analytically, and finally computationally where applicable. I do this because, for example, while one student may comprehend the behavior of a graph visually, another may require a table. I conclude by checking the validity of the solution(s). ...On a recent ELA NY State exam, my students performed so well that I was rated Effective by the NY State Education Department. While working as a teacher, I was trained and scored NY State ELA exams. Personally, on the NY State LAST teacher's exam, I scored 294 out of 300 points, with a perfect 300 on the essay. (read more)
