I prefer an "I do, we do, you do" teaching method where the skill is demonstrated by the teacher, it's practiced together with the teacher, and then it's practiced alone by the student with immediate feedback provided on skill. When working on reading skills, I like to read aloud and stop and talk a lot about what is being read. (read more)
