I was a staff tutor at my previous university before moving to Philadelphia to start a PhD program in chemistry at USciences. ...I have seen success through a student-directed teaching approach where I prioritize what the student wants help with and work up from there. I usually begin a lesson with a few examples on the topic and then provide practice for the student to work on. I like to increase difficulty as the student gets the hang of the topic, whether this is over the course of one session or a few. (read more)
