As of this writing, I have no formal experience or training in teaching or tutoring scholastic subjects. However, I do have experience training co-workers in fairly complicated tasks. I believe that if I can train folks well, I should be able to tutor them well also. (read more)
...Learning happens in many places! I started my teaching career as a substitute, but chose not to be the typical sub. In whatever class/subject I was assigned, I took it upon myself to actively instruct the students rather than babysit them, and help them with whatever they were having difficulty with. (read more)
...I want to continue doing what I love, but in a different venue. I care about my students learning but I tend to use traditional and non-traditional teaching methods to accomplish. We spend time on learning concrete information and ideas and following up with the abstract material, more from the book and what's tested. (read more)
