### sqrt 3 tan(x/2) -1 = 0

sqrt 3 tan(x/2) -1 = 0, solve the given trigonmetric explanation...

I got: (pie) / 12 + 2n(pie)
and : 7(pie) / 12 + 2n(pie)

Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!

Nevermind, I redid it and now my answer is : (pie)/3 + 2n(pie) and 7(pie)/3 + 2n(pie)

I will assume that, by "pie", you mean "pi" (i.e., $\pi$) rather than "pi*e" (i.e., $\pi e$ or 3.14159... * 2.71828...).

Are you asking for your second solution to be verified, or are finished with this exercise? Thank you.

### Re: sqrt 3 tan(x/2) -1 = 0

sqrt 3 tan(x/2) -1 = 0, solve the given trigonmetric explanation...
sqrt[3]tan(x/2) - 1 = 0
sqrt[3]tan(x/2) = 1
tan(x/2) = 1/sqrt[3]
U memorized "tan(@) = 1/sqrt[3]" for @ = 30* = pi/6
if U have 2 do 4 all @s (instead of just 0-360* or something) then do the graph
on 0-360* (0-2pi) its the same height on the graph at the repeat at 7pi/6 = pi/6 + pi
U can see soln is at every 180* = pi (not 2pi!!!) from here, so soln is pi/6 + n*pi

if NE of that didn't make sense, plz write back
i just had my wisdom teeth pulled & maybe i shouldnt be typing yet
