### Simplifying Expression with Exponents

3^5(3^-2 + 3^-3)
______________
9

Hope this explains as I was unable how to figure out how to make exponents on my laptop.

Where are you stuck? You converted the negative exponents to positives, converted the fractions to common denominators, simplified, and... then what?

. . . . .$\frac{3^5\left(\frac{1}{3^2}\, +\, \frac{1}{3^3}\right)}{3^2}\, =\, \frac{\frac{3^5}{1}\left(\frac{3}{3^3}\, +\, \frac{1}{3^3}\right)}{\frac{3^2}{1}}$

If you mean "simplify", then a good start would probably be with the steps listed earlier. Two steps have already been given to you.
