Logarithmic Equation

Postby Guitargod96 » Wed Mar 19, 2014 5:39 am

I have zero clue on how to solve this, if someone would be kind of enough to show me exactly how you would go about solving I would be eternally grateful:

Solve for exact value and to the ten thousandth

3.2=5e^(1-4x)

You can see exactly how on this page.

Do like they show in that page: divide through by 5. Then do natural logs on both sides. Then minus the 1 and divide through by -4. Plug it all into your cal for the "to the ten thousandth" value.

If you get stuck, please write back showing what you've done. Thanks.

I got ln(3.2/5)=1-4x

Now do the other steps I gave you.
