Exponentials and radicals

Postby Ms. Bev » Sat Jan 29, 2011 10:03 pm

Hello,
I'm having problems anwering these questions.

In what sense do exponentials and radicals behave the same way?

What is the difference between exponential and radical forms of an expression?

Give an example from real life where it would be necessary to use a radical expression.

Give an example from real life where it would be necessary to use a rational exponent.

What are your thoughts so far, based on your class notes, the relevant section(s) in your text, the exercises and examples you've reviewed, and the online resources you've accessed?

Thank you!
