### Matrix, Determinants.

(My english is bad, sorry)

well, i'll try to write this in the best way i can,
first, this is what i got:

x t 5 w
a a b b
z 2 3 2
2 3 4 5

and its equal to = |-2|

and, another one:

x b 2 z
t (-c) 3 2
5 c 4 3
w (2p) 5 2

and its equal = |8|

then, there's a third one, i need the determinant of this one :

x t 5 w
(a+2b+z) (a-2c+2) (b+2c+3) (b+4p+2)
2 3 4 5
2 2 3 2

and its equal to |18 |

can someone help me? i really dont understand i need the steps or something like that, thanks in advance and sorry for my awful english.

Are you supposed to solve this for the value of one of the variables (in terms of the others)? You can set up the determinant computation using the method they show here. But you'll get 1 equation with 5 variables, so you can't "solve" it for numbers. It works the same way for all the others (unless I guessed wrong on the instructions).
