you make both of the terms improper fractions, then you multiply by the reciprocal...so it would be 26/3 div. by 27/4, then the reciprocal would be 3/26 X 4/27...then you would reduce...the answer would be 702/12, which could be reduced to 58 1/2...

I remember learning that there were two ways to divide with a fraction.

1. Make the mixed number a whole fraction, like, 6 3/4 would be 27/4. After you convert both mixed numbers to fractions, divide by multiplying by the opposite, I think that is covered somewhere on this site; some one who knows it better could find you the link.

2. Or, you could convert both fractions to decimal numbers, by dividing the numerator by the denomitor of the numbers. After that, move the decimal points of both numbers until the one you're dividing by has no numbers after the decimal point, i.e. is a whole number. Then divide normally.

I 'm not the best at explaining this, so be sure to check the pages on this site about dividing fractions.

Have fun with math!
