I use reminder method to convert decimal numbers to hexadecimal or octal.

6512 / 8 = 814 --- reminder: 0

814 / 8 = 11 --- reminder: 6

11 / 8 = 1 --- reminder: 3

1 / 8 = 0 --- reminder:1

result: 1360

But, when i use calculator, 814 / 8 = 101.75; instead of 11. Why?

With calculator, result is 14560.

6512 / 8 = 814 --- reminder: 0

814 / 8 = 11 --- reminder: 6

11 / 8 = 1 --- reminder: 3

1 / 8 = 0 --- reminder:1

result: 1360
